Crown & Arrows 2-1 Athletico Lincoln

Athletico Lincoln are still searching for their first win of the season following a 2-1 defeat away to Crown & Arrows.

In a first half full of chances, it was C&A who broke the deadlock when they reacted quickest after Danny Funnell had saved the initial effort.

It remained that way until half-time, and it was Athletico who started the second period stronger as they pushed for an equaliser. It came in scrappy circumstances when Scott Tysoe poked home from less than a yard out following a goalmouth scramble.

Athletico could sense the elusive win drawing nearer, but were caught with a sucker punch when Crown & Arrows used their physical advantage to nod in at the far post.

Despite their best efforts, Athletico were unable to draw level for a second time, and remain rooted to the foot of the table with a single point. They host fourth place Travellers Rest in their next game
